Scottrade® Mobile App Reviews

Ive only used Scottrade as a brokerage account. Obliviously you get more features with Ameritrade or Schwab but Scottrade is an easy to use platform for a novice investor. I wouldnt advise a trader to use the platform. With that being said, the trades are cheap to execute. The only major complaint I have is their FRIP system instead of DRIP. I really would like an option because I would really prefer to reinvest dividends in the companies that give divs for compounding. Also, their new update doesnt allow live steaming for changes is stock price.

Please add Touch ID authentication, app needs to be updated to take advantage of new iOS features

I cant believe that Scottrade continues to ignore their customer requests and reviews of this very, very poor app. Why after almost 2 years does this app still not support Touch ID or the iPhone 6 resolution? There is no excuse! Most all the major banking and brokerage apps support Touch ID and the iPhone 6 resolution. Why does Scottrade ignore its customers requests ?

Minor Bug Fix? This entire app is a bug!

Im pretty sure they came out with a bs update so they could try and hide all their bad reviews. Td ameritrade here i come.

WE DONT NEED TO FIX THE ICON--WE NEED TO FIX THE APPLICATION. YOU GUYS DO THESE MINOR BUG FIXES, WHICH DO NOTHING, JUST TO HIDE THE LAST SET OF BAD REVIEWS. For once listen to your customers and fix this buggy application. One of my big complaints is that the buy, sell, sell short etc should be on a separate page like before. The problem with the way it is set up now is that you have to put your order option in and then scroll down to put the number of shares down that you want to purchase; I cant tell you how many times I inadvertently changed my order from a buy to a sell short as I am scrolling down, and the two times I didnt catch it, I lost money: this type of layout causes nothing but problems. Also, WHERE IS THE TOUCH ID? If there is a manager that reads this, you should be embarrassed by these terrible reviews. It is time to invest a little more money into hiring developers that know what they are doing. I make many trades on this application. If they dont get this fixed soon I will go elsewhere and so will others.

App is pretty low tech. No Touch ID yet, and it is not the easiest to navigate. Needs a legit update!

Tired of the app telling me that a mutual fund that I own is "invalid symbol" when I click on it!!!!!!!!! So frustrating that stocks and mutual funds dont have the same aggregation functionality. Worst financial app Ive ever used.

This app is terrible. I have never even been able to login to my account.

Please add Touch ID, purchase price on stock overview, and bid/ask price when in the trading screen.

This app is so irresponsibly and horribly designed that it seems like a detriment to customers. I believe customers have shown patience in giving this company time to update their app to modern, sleek, USEABLE app. Its user interface is a clunky eye sore. The only thing thats modern is the new app icon. If this is not a statement about how this company feels about it customers, by not properly updating its app where customers are expected to use daily to make, manage, save their money. Then Im lost. If the government didnt have some many rules and penalties, I would completely move my money from Scottrade. Both their website and app doesnt not instill confidence in its programming, coding and security teams. Simple things like news gathering for active a stock is sparse. Horrible, shameless and outright irresponsible app.

Although this is real life I believe that this app should give you a pat on the back as you achieve financial success!!

This app is like a developer who just learned how to create apps. This needs a big time update with sleek features.

Cannot log into my account 80% of the time

Goes to retry and wont reopen. Have to delete it and reinstall several times weekly. What the hell is wrong w Scottrade that they wont redesign this mess?

April 2016 - This app does minimal. Still does not support fingerprint login. Very inconvenient. 2015 - As of sept 19, all my number become 0 on this app. I login again with safari and my account was fin on there. What a BS app.

The app is terribly slow and freezes. Makes me want to take my portfolio elsewhere. Canny recommend to anyone.
